"Everyday, you have less reason not to give yourself away."  ~ Wendell Barry

What is special about YBFNC?

We are unique in that we offer an innovative, groundbreaking recreational, overnight camp program specifically designed to support children and adolescents with bipolar disorder at no cost to the participant.

Families affected by this illness are in tremendous need emotionally and often financially.  YBFNC seeks to provide these families support through low/no cost programs, which will help improve their lives and ease some of the daily challenges they face.

To continue developing new and existing programs, YBFNC is looking for volunteers to join our team and be an agent of change for pediatric bipolar disorder.

Here are a few reasons why people volunteer with us:

To give something back

To earn academic credit
It’s a unique opportunity The hands-on experience
To share a skill To be challenged
To keep skills alive To make new friends
To learn- gain insight To explore a career
To get to know a community For fun!
To help build a community To be a part of a team
To demonstrate commitment to a cause/belief To have an excuse to do what you love
Personal growth Because of a personal experience related to the cause/illness
A sense of accomplishment To help a friend or relative
To gain leadership skills To stand up and be counted
To have an impact To be an agent of change
